Coachella 2013: Nick Grimshaw And Jaime Winstone On What They Love About 'The Festival For Beautiful People'

23 April 2013 by

In Britain, festivals mean mud, music and a few to many glasses of luke warm cider. But not Coachella, oh no. Running over the last two weekends it’s been all beautiful sunshine and beautiful people.

In this week’s issue of Grazia we go inside the event held in the Californian desert just outside palm springs, chatting to some of our Brit-pack faves like Jaime Winstone, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora about just why this is the coolest festival on earth.

Literally EVERYONE was there, from Katy Perry to Solange, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Kate Bosworth. All dressed to impress in beautiful dresses, super short shorts and of course the must have for all the Londonites – Henry Holland Eyewear sunglasses.

Nick told us, ‘It's small enough to get around all the stages unlike Glastonbury. And the lack of booze outside VIP means that you are productive and see the acts you love.’ Whilst Rita revealed that she had been staying at Frank Sinatra's house. That’s right, FRANK SINATRA’S HOUSE – how ridic is that?!

Jaime spilled of the wild nights they’d been having, ‘I wasn’t in bed by ten, put it that way,’ she said, ‘The neon carnival on Saturday night was just incredible! It was in an amazing old airplane hanger. It was like a fun fair but just for adults, went on so many crazy rides and lost track of all the naughtiness that went on.’ Jealous, us?

Whilst those guys headed out for the first weekend the party was still going strong just a few days ago when Jessica Alba and co headed to the Soho House pop up with BACARDI where she hung out with uber cool bands like the Foals and Alt J.
