The 56th Annual Grammy Award Nominations From Taylor Swift to Jay-Z

08 December 2013 by

It was an all male lead at the Grammy Award nominations concert, with Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis picking up the most Grammy Award nominations at the concert which took place in LA on Friday.

Jay-z leads the race with an impressive nine nominations including best rap song and best rap album – categories for which Kanye West has also been shortlisted. Healthy competition between talented friends or do we predict another signature Kanye West outburst? Watch this space…

On the female front newcomer Lorde picked up four nominations for single ‘Royals’ including best pop solo performance and song of the year alongside Katy Perry with the jungle themed hit ‘Roar’. Taylor Swift also picked up 4 nominations and performed hit single ‘Trouble” via satellite whilst on her Red tour in Australia, multi-tasking or what! She sang in a conservative lace dress before stripping off to a raunchier number much to the delight of the fans. Neyo, Robin Thicke and 'sexiest man alive' Adam Levine also performed at the event.

Though the Grammy Awards won’t be until 26th of January next year, it looks like we've got alot to look forward to! Get the full list of Grammy Award 2014 nominations here.
