Girls Guide: The 10 Most Quoteable Quotes From Series 3 Episode 4

Top 10 Quotes From Season 3 Episode 4 >>

Jessa on the phone: 'Yeah, I know it’s been a very long time. [Pause] I know, I can’t believe I’m still alive either.'

Adam: 'If you died the world would blur. I wouldn’t know what a tree was.'

Shoshanna: 'You need to grieve it out. Like when Kelly died I wrote a book of poems about her.'
Jessa: 'Who’s Kelly?'
Shoshanna: 'My friend in high school who died.'
Jessa: 'You had a friend who died?'
Shoshanna: 'We literally just had this conversation.'

Jessa: ‘I kind of look forward to the day that I die… If you think about it time isn’t linear. Every moment that has ever happened or will ever happen is happening right now. We just choose to live in this moment to create some illusion of continuity.  So really we have already died and we have also not been born.’

Hannah: 'Adam’s going to figure out what I’m actually like, and there’s no way he’s going to like it because he has such a depth of feeling. No one can even rival that. I definitely can’t, and soon he’s going to get bored and feel stifled by someone who can’t match his strength of emotion.'

Hannah: In the midst of all that chaos and insanity I left. What else was I supposed to do? And no one even began to tell me what was next for me E book.
Adam: Whaat?
Hannah: I know so I’m left wondering when and how and to whom I can even bring this up to get some answers.

Jessa on death: 'It's something that happens. It's like jury duty or, you know, floods. They happen.'

Marnie to Ray and Hermie: "Fancy people want to work with me. So I'm gonna give them that pleasure and I'm gonna go work with them! So f**k you both, have a nice day, enjoy the rest of the video.'

Ray to Hannah: 'Why don't you place just one crumb of basic human compassion on this fat-free muffin of sociopathic detachment? See how it tastes'

Shoshanna: 'I feel like my bandana collection is my most developed collection. I mean my array of bandanas is insane.'

In last night's episode of Girls, 'Dead Inside,' Hannah's e-book editor David suddenly dies. Hannah's reaction? To think about herself, obviously. She is too busy spiraling about the future of her e-book and googling how he died to shed one single tear for David. As for the other girls, Jessa finds out that her best friend who died is actually alive and living in a brownstone with her 'cool-looking husband' and baby. Season needed to cut ties with Jessa the 'total enabler.'

Marnie is fighting back against her public humiliation (we know you haven't forgotten that music video) by blending a bunch of vegetables, training like Rocky and quitting her job at Cafe Grumpy. While Laird is mourning the loss of his pet turtle, whose corpse he carries about in a plastic case. Shoshanna is a little too absent from this episode for our liking, but she does deliver one winner: 'I feel like my bandana collection is my most developed collection. I mean my array of bandanas is insane.'

The episode isn't just about dying, it's also about lying. At the end of the episode Hannah tells Adam she had a cousin who died of muscular dystrophy so that he thinks she has some empathy and isn't a total sociopathic. Which evidently she is. This is going to end very badly. It's a shame as we are starting to fall madly in love with Adam, especially after he said the words: 'If you died the world would blur. I wouldn’t know what a tree was.'

Other notable parts of episode four include Ray's teeny tiny goatee, another look at Marnie's video and Hannah, Laird and Caroline (Adam's sister) running through a grave yard to Jake Bugg. We hope Hannah Hoffmann (Caroline) sticks around for a while as we are loving her wacktacular wardrobe and her wild top knot.
