#PlayTime: Destiny's Child Reunite For Michelle Williams' Video (And There's A Dance Routine)

18 June 2014 by

In a bit of a work slump right now? Welcome to #PlayTime, Grazia Daily's new music feature bringing you a different hot track every day of the week. From just-dropped music premieres to cool covers and throwback classics, its the new soundtrack to your afternoon.

UPDATE: The video for Michelle Williams' new single 'Say Yes' has dropped and it stars both Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland. AKA it's Destiny's Child reunion'o'clock. The video features  the girls performing a choreographed dance number -woop, woop - as well as solo sequences.

While the majority of the wardrobe is wild and colourful, the girls wear white and gold for their solo appearances, with Kelly sporting a white mesh top and barbed wire necklace and Beyonce sport long braids, a gold neck cuff and oversized white poncho.

'The blessing about Destiny's Child is that we still love working together - it's not hard, it's not a task,' Kelly Rowland told Grazia Daily last week. 'And when we do we still sound damn good together!'

22 May 2014: Seriously, time to take some deep breaths. Destiny's Child have reunited. Plus, they've reunited on a track with Solange. Yep, seems that lift incident has well and truly been swept under the carpet.

The song called 'Say Yes' is actually isn't a Destiny's Child release. It's a number from Michelle Williams' new gospel album, 'Journey to Freedom'. (BTW - The singer is currently starring in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', who knew?!)

This taster from Michelle's forthcoming EP is club-tastic and waaay too catchy as well as ultra star-studded. Plus, what's particularly exciting about the reunion is that because this is from Michelle's album she's got the lead vocals. While Beyonce usually rules the Destiny's Child roost, she's stuck doing back-up with Kelly Rowland and Solange.

We love an unexpected Destiny's Child reunion - especially when it's as fun as this one. Here are some more of our faves..

1. Kelly and Michelle's surprise appearance in Beyonce's video for 'Superpower'

2. Kelly Rowland's track 'You've Changed'

3. *That* NYE video

4. Kelly and Michelle's cameo in Beyonce's 'Get Me Bodied' video

5. And of course… THE SUPERBOWL
