Love was most definitely in the air this Christmas and it felt like every A-lister worth their Hollywood star had coupled up in time for the holidays. There were weddings - Kate Winslet and Ned Rocknroll tied the knot in New York while Hugh Hefner and his latest squeeze Crystal Harris made it official at the Playboy Mansion. Then there was a rumoured wedding as reports developed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may (or may not) have said "I do" in secret on Christmas Day. And finally there were babies, or rather the promise of babies as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian announced that they are expecting their first child together and Jessica Simpson confirmed our suspicions that she is pregnant with her second little one with fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson.
That's all before we mention the celebrity couples who warmed our cockles and melted our hearts with their ultra-public displays of festive affection. First up are Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish who despite the actress referring to her director fiancé as "my hubby" on Twitter have denied that they are already husband and wife. The pair spent Christmas with Michael's family and posed together in celebratory hats on New Year's Eve.
