BRIT Awards 2014: We Look Back At The Most Outrageous BRIT Moments Of All Time

19 February 2014 by

The countdown is on. That's right, in just a few short hours the BRIT Awards 2014 will be commencing at the o2 Arena. Whilst Harry Styles is probably preening his curls in preparation and Katy Perry is putting the last minute touches to her performance we're just going to get ourselves in the mood by taking a look back at some of the most outrageous BRITs moments of all time.

1. Geri Halliwell And THAT Union Jack Dress

Right, whilst you're watching this performance just keep it in the back of your mind that Geri's dress her was made out of a tea towel.

2. Robbie VS Liam

Back in the days (the year 2000) when popstars basically did whatever they wanted Robbie Williams decided to use his acceptance speech to ask Liam Gallagher if he wanted to have a fight with him. LOLers.

3. Ali G's In Da House

2000 was clearly a properly good year for the BRITs. Here's the hilarious Ali G presenting the International Female award - we love Davina McCall trying to get down with his street talk.

4. Cry Me A River Britney

Well, there isn't any better way to get back at an ex really than writing a song about them (Cry Me A River was supposed to be about Britney Spears cheating on Justin Timberlake) and then performing it with Kylie Minogue. Ouch.

5. Jarvis Cocker Takes On Michael Jackson

Ok, we're a little bit scared by the fact that when Jarvis Cocker stormed on stage interupting Michael Jackson's performance it was 1996 - that's 18 years ago! EIGHTEEN. But still, totally one of the most controversial moments of all time.

And finally...

6. The Most Awkward BRITs moment EVER

It was 2012 and Adele was just in the middle of her acceptance speech when James Corden - who was presenting - interupted her. Literally awful.
