[a target="_blank" href="">Rookwood Bar & ‘Cue[/a], is the newly opened American-style steakhouse in Liverpool. It’s set to be busy over the next few weeks so make sure you book in advance! Sample their craft beers, cocktails and grill menu. The molecular Bloody Mary is one everyone should get a chance to try, and with three bars you won’t be left thirsty for long!

Why not head over to Norwich city centre for an evening of fantastic free family entertainment with [a target="_blank" href="">Head Out, Not Home[/a]? There will be events in the city centre every Thursday until the end of August including Covent Garden performers, music, bands, street theatre, film nights, and a 'Norwich has got talent' stage dedicated to showcasing local acts.

On the 17th you can experience acoustic tropical music from Calypso, Sistema in Norwich amazing children's orchestra, and AJ James the daring street performer.

Located in the centre of Leeds in the stunning Leeds Institute building on Millennium Square, [a target="_blank" href="">Leeds City Museum[/a] is a free haven for little (and big) people with inquisitive minds.  Encompassing 4 floors of interactive and exciting galleries from Ancient Worlds (where you can meet Nesyamun, the Leeds mummy) to digging fossils in the Life on Earth gallery there's something to engage everyone for a family day out.

Promising the best smoked ribs Manchester has ever seen, [a target="_blank" href="">Cane & Grain[/a] is the latest opening in the city’s ever-so-cool Northern Quarter.  And when you’re done getting messy with the ribs head upstairs to the bar laboratory for an experimental cocktail or two.

A completely sober bar, cafe & restaurant serving 0% alcohol treats. All the fun and no hangover, plus they do mean milkshakes for bargain prices. Comfy decor, friendly atmosphere and tasty food. [a target="_blank" href="">Sobar Nottingham[/a] is a really different and nice place to spend an afternoon leading into the evening!

This Friday and Saturday the [a target="_blank" href="">Colmore Business District Food Festival [/a]will be held in Birmingham’s Victoria Square. Entry is free and a taster menu costs around £5. There is an abundance of local restaurants involved including the Michelin starred Purnell's (Where a dinner for two would normally set you back at least £200) DELICIOUS!

Weston Super Mare

If you're not used to living near a lovely sandy beach then get yourselves down to Weston-Super-Mare, where they have endless supplies. So much so, that they like to make sculptures from it and put them on [a target="_blank" href="/weblogEntries/%20http:/">show[/a] for all to see. This year's theme, titled 'Once Upon A Time' includes sculptures themed around The Hunger Games, Beatrix Potter, Narnia and Rapunzel.

Grab your blanket, snacks and come along for a night at the opera Al-fresco style!

Traditionally a night at the opera would involve wearing a nice outfit and heading to watch the performance indoor. However, this week on Tuesday 15th July, a night at the opera takes on a slightly different route. Once again, Duthie Park is playing host to BP Big Screens where a performance of La Boheme will be screened live from [a target="_blank" href="">The Royal Opera House[/a].
