Azealia Banks Attacks Cara Delevingne's Wifey, Rita Ora - But It's Not Her First Twitter Feud

Frenemies: Rita and Azealia

Yikes! The Twitter claws are well and truly out. Azealia Banks sent shockwaves through the Twittersphere last night when she took to the social networking site to have a pop at Rita Ora.

After the pair met at an Australian festival earlier this month, Rita shared an Instagram snap of them backstage along with the caption, 'New generation...you can't be mad...it's a come up #itjusthappens all you can do is watch..@azeliabanks #loveya'. So far, so sweet.

Cut to yesterday and Azealia is attacking Rita for being 'Rihanna’s understudy'. Ouch. And the rant didn't end there. 'Ever since I arrived on this tour, Rita’s been going out of her way to try and intimidate me,' she tweeted. 'Taking all these candid (photos) of me when I wasn’t looking, then posting and deleting them like a weak b****.'

So how did Rita respond? By texting Azealia, saying, 'At the end of the day I don’t know who the f*** you think you are.' Azealia then made the text public by tweeting it to her 326K followers. Oops.

Cara Crush: are Azealia and Rita fighting over the model?

Speculation is rife that one Cara Delevingne is at the heart of the all-mighty bust-up. Everyone wants a piece of the mega model and it seems Azealia and Rita are happy to fight over her. You'll remember Azealia and Cara became bosom buddies last year and they weren't shy about letting the world know it. Images popped up all over Instagram of the pair larking about together and even dressing up in matching mermaid costumes.

But this year, it's been all about Cara and Rita. Ms Ora declared that the catwalker is her 'wifey' and she's taken her off the market, but really sealed the BFF deal when they started clothes swapping.

Whatever the truth behind the spat, one thing's for sure: this is not the first time La Banks has had Twitter beef. Remember these bust-ups?

Her most recent feud was with the band’s frontman Ian Brown when they crossed paths during the Australian festival. Azealia bragged online about a run-in. 'We legit almost got into a fist fight. I’m more rock and roll than he is,' she tweeted.

The rapper became exchanged cross words with celebrity blogger Perez in January, calling him a 'messy faggot', but subsequently insisted that her insult had not been homophobic. 'A faggot is not a homosexual male,' she claimed. 'A faggot is any male who acts like a female. There's a BIG difference.' Err, okay.

In February, Banks was angered that her cover of Baauer's track 'Harlem Shake' was removed from SoundCloud. So what did she do? Take to Twitter, of course. She sent him a tweet asking, 'Why you cockblockin tho??? Lmaoooo.' When he responded that it wasn't her track, she replied: 'You're a pussy. You don't belong in hip-hop.' Nice.

Azealia got embroiled in a row with fellow rapper Angel Haze, with both ladies hurling insult after insult at each other on Twitter - and in a song. It started when Azealia said she's tired of non-New York artists claiming the city as their own. 'Seriously, if you were not born and raised in NY... DON'T CLAIM NY. YOU ARE NOT A NEW YORKER.' Angel took offence, referring to her as 'azebra' before releasing the diss track below.

In 2012, Azealia said that she was offered the chance to join Nicki on the European leg of her "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" tour, but turned it down. '#ManTheseBitchesDelirious,' tweeted a baffled Minaj before Azealia fired back with, 'Use good grammar when insulting others'.

Azealia and Kim were due to work together but when the collaboration fell through, AB expressed her anger on Twitter. 'Okay so true tea is that Lil Kim got mad that I wrote a verse for her on a record I wanted her on...Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn't write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done.' Kim's publicist released a statement saying that Kim and Azealia had never spoken or even met before so, funnily enough, the track never emerged.

Apparently, Azealia Banks wasn't amused by the success of Iggy Azalea's viral hit Pu$$Y. The Harlem rapper tweeted, 'Fuck white girls. They are privileged and shouldn't be allowed to rap, because rap is black culture.'

So what's your verdict on Azealia's very public feuds? Do you find it entertaining or disheartening to see stars dissing each other? And is it manufactured drama to make headlines? Let us know your verdict below...
