
How do you solve a problem like Lindsay Lohan? With great difficulty, it seems. Her latest woe is that her new film The Canyons has been rejected from South By South West film festival for reportedly being rather rubbish. This comes after it was already excluded from being screened at this month's Sundance festival.
An insider at SXSW festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas in March, said the film suffered from "significant quality issues." Ouch. It also, apparently, has "an ugliness and a deadness to it."
The movie, starring Lohan and porn star James Deen, is said to be a "contemporary L.A. noir about the dangers of sexual obsession and ambition" from director Paul Schrader and writer Bret Easton Ellis. It's the latest blow for the film - and Lindsay. Earlier this month The New York Times pubished an explosive piece detailing her "difficult" behaviour on set of The Canyons.
