Witnessing other people do karaoke can either be hilariously entertaining or extremely irritating, depending on how tone deaf/drunk they/you are. In preparation for stepping up to the mic the car used to be the perfect place to practice your singing skills safe in the knowledge that other drivers couldn't hear your pitchy performance, but now the social media trend #CarCam has ensured that back seat warbling has become a public event.
Of course celebrities being natural exhibitionists, are taking on this challenge with aplomb. Stars from Alexa Chung to The Kardashians have shared #CarCam showcases of their singing skills with followers, convincing us that wailing along to the radio is officially acceptable. But what tracks do these Instagramers have on their playlists? Alexa and her friends Pixie Geldof and Remi Nicole are big fans of 90s pop having chosen to belt out the lyrics to 'N Sync's Bye Bye Bye and JoJo's Leave (Get Out) on their All-American road trip. The girl pals also visited a karaoke bar in Los Angeles where Remi and Alexa performed a rendition of Natalie Imbruglia's debut Torn.
Torn is a favourite with model Suki Waterhouse too, as she posted a video of herself miming along to the track. Scott Disick and the Kardashian sisters went for a recent hit from US hip-hop artist Drake. While Khloe and Scott sang along to the song Hold On, We're Going Home on Keek, Kourtney posed in the backseat and Kim Kardashian filmed the filming of the whole thing on her iPhone. We think Khloe is driving, but we're not entirely sure.
Now all that remains is for a group of motorists to recreate the iconic 'Wayne's World' Bohemian Rhapsody scene. Perhaps One Direction could oblige.
