And The Name Of Kim Kardashian And Kanye West's Child Is... Kaidence Donda West (Maybe)

Kim Kardashian took us by surprise on Saturday night when she went into labour 5 weeks early and since then the world has waited with baited breath (kind of) for the announcement of what the new mother and her partner Kanye West have named their first child. Going by Kim's family tradition of alliteration we felt sure that the baby would be called something beginning with a 'K' or a 'W' with the surname 'West' or 'Kardashian-West'. The reality star and her sisters are all double 'Ks' - Kim, Kourtney and Khloe - and her half-sisters are Kylie and Kendall Jenner, not alliterated but sticking to the 'K' theme. Meanwhile her stepbrothers, the sons of her stepfather Bruce are called Burt, Brandon and Brody Jenner. No wonder Kris and Bruce get along so well.

According to MediaTakeout, fans won't be disappointed as they claim that a nurse at Los Angeles' Cedars Sinai Hospital, where Kimmy gave birth, has tipped them off that the couple have named their child, drum roll please... Kaidence Donda West. The middle name is of course a tribute to Kanye's late mother, Dr Donda West who died of complications from cosmetic surgery in 2007. Kaidence Cadence, when it's spelt correctly, refers to balance, rhythmic flow and measure or beat of movement. There is no confirmation from Kimye about whether this is the name they've decided upon, but it makes sense as it combines two of Kanye's loves - his mother and music - with the Kardashian penchant for making everything start with a 'K'.

Refinery 29 has also suggested that Klementine Star West is in the running. Stay tuned as we Google girls’ names beginning with 'C' and replace the first letter with a 'K'. Klaire? Karol? Klarice? Come on Kimye, throw us a bone...
