Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence might have missed out on Oscars at the weekend, but they're now in the running for an equally important prize (sort of). The duo have been revealed as nominees for Best Kiss at the MTV VMA Awards.
Amy and Jen share a hate-fuelled smooch in American Hustle while starring has characters Sydney Prosser and Rosalyn Rosenfeld. J-Law's character Rosalyn gives Amy's Sydney a good telling off before planting a smacker on her lips.
The award celebrates the steamiest, cutest, funniest and most-emotional kisses in film and the girls are up against tough snog-petition at this year's awards, which will be held on August 24.
James Franco, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson are also nominated for their saucy three-way scenes in Spring Breakers. The trio share a smooch on Franco's character Alien's bed early on in the film as they rub money and guns across each other's bodies. They also get steamy in a hot tub sex scene towards the end.
Also up for the prize - Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson for their work in Don Jon, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter for We're the Millers and Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller for The Spectacular Now.
If J-Law bags the Best Kiss prize it will be for the second year in a row. She scooped a win last year for her scene locking lips with Bradley Cooper Silver Linings Playbook.
Other previous winners will include Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger who scooped the gong in 2006 for Brokeback Mountain, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams who won for their emotional rain scene in The Notebook and Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson whose Twilight snogs bagged them three Best Kiss prizes. Here are all the winners so far.
