Melanie Blatt, Nicole Appleton, Natalie Appleton and Shaznay Lewis in May 1998 [Rex]
All Saints are back! And no, we’re not talking about the high-street brand. In the week following the epic return of Busted (alongside McFly in the originally titled ‘McBusted’), we have yet another blast from the past with the fabulous news that '90s girl band All Saints are set to rise from the depths of the pop graveyard. Hurrah! Not only that but they're reuniting to support the Backstreet Boys on their UK and Ireland 2014 tour.
Comprising of Melanie Batt, Shaznay Lewis and, of course, the Appleton sisters Nicole and Natalie, they will forgo any new material in favour of their monumentally crowd-pleasing, older songs. ‘Never Ever’ anyone?! 'We are really looking forward to performing together as special guests,' the foursome said. 'The Backstreet Boys are a great band, so it’s an honour.'
With five headline dates and a new album, In A World Like this, to sing to us, the Backstreet Boys couldn’t have picked anyone better to kick their gigs off and we have a feeling that these dates will be a popular buy. So can we expect to see Backstreet and All Saints duets? Will there be '90s-style coordinating costumes? Dodgy haircuts? We hope so.
To assist our speculation, let's relive some of our fave All Saints moments...
1. When they released one of the catchiest songs ever
2. When they made everyone want to wear baggy combats + Timbalands
3. When the Appleton sisters bagged Robbie Williams and Jamie Theakston
4. When they gave acting a go
5. When they reunited (for the second time)
Tickets are available from 9am on 22nd November
