5 Things To Do This Weekend... Watch the Oscars and Song For Marion

1. Watch... The Oscars

You know we’ve been harping on about awards season for quite some time now but it’s finally here - the big one - it’s time for the OSCARS!!! Now the A-list have been so busy walking the red carpet and picking up shiny awards that even Anne Hathaway has lost track of where she’s off to next – no surprise really seeing as she’s already picked up 41 gongs for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables. But will she walk away with the Best Supporting Actress statue this Sunday? Tune in to find out.

Sunday, Sky Movies Oscars HD, Red carpet from 11.30pm, Awards from 1.30am

2. Watch... Song For Marion

If you’re looking for something heartwarming, charming and tender to watch this weekend, why not check out Song For Marion? Vanessa Redgrave plays Marion, a terminally ill woman who sings in the local OAP choir run by Gemma Arterton’s Elizabeth. Her husband, the grumpy Arthur (Terence Stamp) resents her involvement but when he begrudgingly agrees to sign up, he gets a lot more out of it than he bargained for.

In cinemas now

5. Pre-order... Hope Springs

At the wife’s insistence, they embark on a week of intense couples therapy with a specialist (Steve Carrell). It’s not out until Monday but pre-order now so it’ll arrive in time for some gentle post-work viewing next week.
