1. Listen To The Miley Cyrus song
A be-quiffed, yoga-fied Miley’s baaaack and she’s collaborated with the cream of pop producers for her fourth album (oh hai Pharrell and Hit-Boy). We Can’t Stop eases us into her new sound – it’s no Party In The U.S.A but we like it a lot.
2. Watch Behind The Candelabra
This tale of Scott Thorson and his relationship with Liberace is celluloid gold. Featuring a career besting performances from Michael Douglas plus perfectly realised costumes (from legendary costume designer Ellen Mirojnick) and an amazing comic turn from Rob Lowe as a wacky plastic surgeon this is the first non-blockbuster, must see film of the Summer.
3. Book tickets To See Aziz Ansari Live
You loved him Parks & Recreation playing Tim Haverford, you laughed at his scene stealing cameos in Get Him To The Greek well now it’s your chance to see him performing his lol-tastic stand up in the flesh. The pal of Kanye’s show ‘Buried Alive!’ hits London’s Hammersmith Apollo on June 15th and you can nab tickets right here.
4. Watch The Americans
Episode 2 of ‘The New Homeland’ sees the pace being notched up to 10 as The Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) attempt to bug the office of the British defence secretary via his friendly cleaning lady. Things- obviously- go awry plus there’s an amazing scene soundtracked by In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins (reason enough to watch TBH).
5. Swoon In Preparation For Burton And Taylor
Bound not to be as unintentionally LOLz as the Lindsay film, this one off 90 minute drama (starring Dominic West and Helena Bonham Carter) is set to be aired on BBC 4 at the end of the year. It’s played out in the background of their 1983 Noel Coward play Private Lives. We can’t wait.
