Here's your weekly dose of cultural activities - you know - in case you're looking for a bit of weekend inspiration...
1. Get your '90s groove on
If you're a big fan of the 90's resurgence then head on down to Love + Liquor tonight where Sophie Ellis Bextor and her hubby Richard Jones (The Feeling) will be hosting a night of classic electro/ pop tunes plus cocktails and dancing until the wee small hours at the 'Vice Motel'. Dress code = fresh!
2. Download 'Dumb'
She's written songs with Nick Jonas, been invited to tour with Olly Murs and counts One Direction as fans and now it's the turn of 19-year old Tich to take the spotlight as this Sunday, she releases her debut single Dumb. It's a catchy tune, perfect for summer and Tich's singing and piano skills prove she's already a pop princess in the making.
'Dumb' is released on Sunday 12th May
3. Go shopping
The clever people at Selfridges have launched a new click & collect service which means no more trawling the store only to leave empty-handed when the item you want is out of stock (of course it is - you're so on trend). Order online and select which store you'd like it delivered to and voila, it'll be ready and waiting for you the very next morning (if you order before 4pm). Now there is simply no excuse not to spend some of your hard earned pennies, right?!
4. Read 'Follow Me Down'
If you fancy tucking into a lovely book this weekend you might like the sound of Follow Me Down by Tanya Byrne which has been described as 'a novel that combines the hormone-crazed bitchiness of Mean Girls with the corkscrew twists of Gone Girl'. Adamma and Scarlett are inseparable - until they fall for the same guy. Then Scarlett goes missing... Intrigued yet?
5. Pre-order She & Him Volume 3
We lurve Zooey Deschanel in New Girl, obvs, but we also love her dulcit tones as one half of folk duo She & Him. Alongside, M. Ward, they're releasing their third album on Monday featuring 11 original songs and a few covers. We heart 'I Could've Been Your Girl' - set a reminder for 13th now!
