5 Things To Do This Weekend: Buy The Haim Album, Watch Homeland

04 October 2013 by

1. WATCH: Homeland Season 3

It's back! When we left Carrie and Brody, (SPOILER ALERT IF YOU'RE BEHIND THE TIMES) Langley had exploded in flames killing (by our estimation) about half the cast and Carrie was helping Brody to go on the run after al-Qaeda released his confessional tape from the last time he tried unsuccessfully to commit a terrorist attack. Note to self; NEVER make confessional tapes until AFTER you manage to blow up the bunker containing the Vice President. Will their illicit romance survive now that Brody's an internationally wanted man? Will Carrie stay on her meds? Both seem unlikely, but entertaining to watch.

3. BUY: Haim - Days Are Gone

Our favouritest group of sisters have finally released their debut album and it's totally brilliant. From singles The Wire and Falling to the haunting My Song 5 we're completely obsessed. Remember in Ally McBeal when nutso Ally used to soundtrack her life in her head? Yeah, that's what we're doing with Days Are Gone.

4. INDULGE YOUR INNER FOODIE WITH: The London Restaurant Festival

A festival of restaurants you say? Yep we're happy to get on board with that. From this weekend (and then for the next three weeks) restaurants across London are getting together for a number of exhibits and special events showcasing their wonderful food. Check out the full list of events here.

5. WATCH: How I Live Now

Saoirse Ronan is back in this apocalyptic drama about the onset of World War III. Saoirse, playing Daisy, is an American sent to live with her cousins in England for the summer. After embarking on the perfect teenage romance, Daisy finds her love-in rudely interrupted by a nuclear bomb and enusing all-out war and she is forced to embark on an epic journey to get back to the boy she loves.
