5 Things To Do This Weekend: Watch Don Jon, Buy The Cate Le Bon Album, Watch Borgen

1) Watch The New Series Of ‘Borgen’

The new season of ‘Borgen’ kicks off two years after the second season. Birgitte Nyborg is now divorced and has left politics behind. But could she be tempted back?

A double helping of Borgen kicks off on Saturday on BBC Four at 9pm

2) Download The Cate Le Bon Album

Recorded in the midst of a relocation to Los Angeles, Cate Le Bon’s third album is her best yet. ‘Mug Museum’ is produced by Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newson) and Josiah Steinbrick (Devendra Banhart) and does that warm, 70s sound to perfection.

3) Go See ‘Don Jon’

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has written and produced this witty and thoughtful comment piece on internet porn version IRL romance. Scarlett Johansson stars as his rom-com addicted girlfriend and Julianne Moore pops up as his unlikely saviour.

4) Go To Art Turning Left

Tate Liverpool takes a sideways look at how left wing values have shaped and subverted art throughout the ages. The exhibition draws from a vast array of contributors including the Fluxus movement, Brecht and more.

5)  Go Ice Skating

I mean, really, there are so many places to choose from – Somerset House, Canary Wharf and the Tower of London. Go! Fall down on your face as you get pushed over by the bigger kids! Comfort yourself with a hot chocolate! It’ll be just like when you were a kid…
