Things are getting a bit emosh in Grazia Daily HQ right now. Today's #PlayTime is a clip of up-and-comer Indiana performing 2012 single 'Blind As I Am'. The Nottingham singer recorded a live version of the track exclusively for new musical channel Transmitter - and we've got the first view.
Indiana was discovered at a singing competition in 2012. She describes her sound as 'menacing and emotional electronica with 80s-inspired synths and haunting vocals' and says she's inspired by the likes of The XX and Paul Newman. She released her first EP, Smoking Gun last year and has got her own clothing label called Some Kind Of Nature.
It's no surprise then that the 'Blind As I Am' clip shows Indiana looking super chic as she performs the track in a blue-lit room. Her hair's styled into a chic halo braid and she's wearing jeans and sheer shirt. Her vocals are raw and gut-wrenching - it's a must listen.
While the live version of the track is all about the emotion, the original track has an eerie vibe thanks to synths and vocal layering. The video shows Indiana wandering around a deserted house in a shirt and battered Converse before coming face-to-face with her reflection.
