#PlayTime: The Voice's Sophie May Williams Gives Lorde A Jazz Makeover - And It's Brilliant

In a bit of a work slump right now? Welcome to #PlayTime, Grazia Daily's new music feature bringing you a different hot track every day of the week. From just-dropped music premieres to cool covers and throwback classics, its the new soundtrack to your afternoon.

The soundtrack to our Monday? The Voice contestant Sophie May Williams covering Lorde's 'Royals'. The 17-year-old might have been knocked out of the competition on Saturday night, but we're still head-over-heels for her jazz-infused performance.

The former member of Team Will.i.am became known for her vintage style, retro song choices and gritty vocals during this year's season of the show, hitting the stage to perform classics including 'Moon River' and 'Time After Time'. She decided to give Lorde's Grammy-winning hit a jazz makeover for the semis, turning it into the kind of downtempo number that wouldn't have been out of place in a 1920s speakeasy.

We're also totally crushing on Sophie's wardrobe of kimonos, shift dresses and head scarves right now. She hit the stage at the weekend dripping with diamonds in a floor length gown, bejewelled headpiece and sparkling necklace.

She might have been knocked out by teammate Jermaine Jackman, but it seems Sophie had a great time while on the show.

'I AM STILL ON SUCH A MASSIVE HIGH FROM LAST NIGHT! I had the best time and I'm so grateful to everyone!' she tweeted on Saturday. 'So much love for my coach @iamwill gonna miss @BBCTheVoiceUK but I'm more determined than ever now.'

Her version of Lorde is available to download via iTunes and is currently heading up the charts at Number 55.
