#PlayTime: Katy Perry To Star In A 'Clueless' Musical? Here's 5 Of Her Tracks That Need To Be On The Soundtrack

14 July 2014 by

In a bit of a work slump right now? Welcome to #PlayTime, Grazia Daily's new music feature bringing you a different hot track every day of the week. From just-dropped music premieres to cool covers and throwback classics, its the new soundtrack to your afternoon.

Oh-em-gee, there's like totally going to be a Clueless musical. AND it could star Grazia fave Katy Perry as Cher Horowitz herself!

The creator Amy Heckerling has revealed she's in the 'really early stages' of creating a Broadway version of the movie. She's got her eye on Iggy Azalea (after THAT 'Fancy' video) and Katy Perry. Classic! She says: 'Katy Perry has expressed interest, and I love her to death.'

Bahhh, it would be a dream come true if this actually happened! Katy's got Cher's super-sweet but also boss-attitude down to a tee. We can totally imagine her flicking her hair and waving her fluffy pen around while doling out advice to her pals. And she'd look 100% increds in Cher's wardrobe.

To celebrate what will potentially be the Best Musical Of All Time, here are the Katy Perry tracks that could be the soundtrack to the Broadway show.

1. 'Teenage Dream'

You know that scene with the fluffy pen?! This should be the soundtrack. #daydreaming

2. 'Last Friday Night'

For the aftermath of that party in The Valley. The missed curfew, the car confusion, the mugger.

3. 'Dark Horse'

Tai's theme.

4. 'California Gurls'

Because.. durrr! LA gurls forever.

5. 'Hot N Cold'

Eurgh, Josh is such annoying step-brother. Oh wait, Cher's actually in love with him.
