#PlayTime: Gwyneth Paltrow Covers Pharrell's 'Happy' - And It's Really Good!

In a bit of a work slump right now? Welcome to #PlayTime, Grazia Daily's new music feature bringing you a different hot track every day of the week. From just-dropped music premieres to cool covers and throwback classics, its the new soundtrack to your afternoon.

We can honestly say that what you're about to hear might be the best #PlayTime of all time. Gwyneth Paltrow is returning to Glee in a 100th anniversary episode that's airing in the US tonight - and she's recorded a cover of Pharrell's mega-hit 'Happy'.

If you thought the first version was joyful, you've heard nothing yet. The sugary vocals of Gwyneth as well as other returning guest star Kristin Chenoweth and of course the Glee choir turn Pharrell's pop anthem into a kick-ball-change, jazz-hands, warbling number fit for any high school musical.

Gwyneth's returning to her role as substitute teacher Holly Holliday in the anniversary episode (which will be premiered in two parts tonight and on March 25). She first took on the role in 2010, featuring in three episode of Season One.

This time round Sue Sylvester - played by Jane Lynch - will finally succeed in ending the Glee club after years of disdain for the group and teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison). Gwyneth will be joined in the show by members of the old cast as well as Chace Crawford (who won't be singing).

So, what do you reckon? Are you a Pharrell purist who loves the original hit or are you are fan of Gwyneth's take on the record. Watch the original video below.
