"My Life On Record." Annie Mac Exclusively Reveals Her Favourite Songs

With a couple of shows on Radio 1 and a few compilation albums under her belt, its fair to say that Irish DJ Annie Mac knows her stuff when it comes to music. So, we asked her which songs make up the soundtrack to her life...

"The song I’m currently obsessed with...
Destiny's Child - Say My Name (Cyril Hahn remix). It's a gorgeous blissed out house version of this song. Cyril has slowed down the vocals to amazing effect. I love love love it."

"The song that sums up my teenage years...
Blur - To The End. There were many teenage angst ridden nights in my bedroom with the light off listening to this VERY loud."

"First album I bought...
Guns N Roses - Use Your Illusion I & II. On double cassette tape! I was thirteen! It fell out of my pocket the next day when I went on a rollercoaster. I was gutted."

"My first breakup song...
Blur - No Distance Left To Run. More obsession with Damon... this was his break up song about Justine Frischman from Elastica. I adopted it as my own when I was 17."

"The song  that reminds me of my girlfriends...
The Strokes - Last Night. We were obsessed with The Strokes when they first came along, their music felt so raw and exciting. My friend even followed them around the UK on tour."

"The song I wish I knew how to play...
I'd like to be able to rap! Preferably this Missy Elliot track - Work It."

"The song I’ll have at my wedding...
Fleetwood Mac - Everywhere. Gorgeous sentiment and sonics on this song. Perfect for 'that' moment... and good for putting smiles on people's faces."
