What To Do This Weekend: The Perks Of Being A Wallflower & The Goldsmith’s Fair

See… Vintage Vogue at the Rook & Raven, Soho

Head to the Rook & Raven Gallery for Vintage Vogue – a solo show of artworks by artist James Mylne. The gorgeous pictures depict fashion icons such as Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn and Everyln Tripp. The twist? They’re all drawn by Biro. Yep, artist James Mylne has been using office favourites BIC biros for 15 years and is considered to be one of the world leaders in this style of art. Check ‘um out.

Opening today until 31 October, [a>www.rookandraven.co.uk[/a]

Watch…The Perks of being a Wallflower

We can’t big up this film enough. Emma Watson breaks free of her Harry Potter child-actress-cage and proves her worth as a seriously cool, credible actress alongside outstanding Logan Lerman and We Need to Talk About Kevin’s Ezra Miller. The coming-of-age dramedy will laugh you laughing and crying in equal measure. The 80s soundtrack rocks, too.

Now in its 30th year, the Goldsmith’s Fair showcases the most exciting independent jewellery makers in the UK. One of this year’s highlights is Lucie Gledhill, whose intricate chain designs are made using traditional handmade techniques.  Check them out.
