“My Life On Record." Mena Suvari Exclusively Reveals Her Favourite Songs

American Beauty star Mena Suvari is set to return to the big screen this Friday with the release of The Knot, a comedy caper written by Noel Clarke which sees a couple enduring a series of mishaps right before their wedding day. We caught up with Mena to find out which songs make up the soundtrack to her life…

"The first song I was ever obsessed with...
Hysteria from the Def Leppard album Serious. It reminds me of my childhood and days with my three older brothers."

"The song that sums up my teenage years...
Ordinary World by Duran Duran. The first concert I ever went to was to see Duran Duran."

"The first record I ever bought...
Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses. I was obsessed with Axel Rose and when I moved to Los Angeles, I heard about this house off Sunset Plaza where he was staying. I made my parents drive out there!"

"My first break-up song...
It was some depressing song from the album Pearl Jam by Pearl Jam. It must have come out in 1992. That’s frightening!"

"The song I’m currently obsessed with...
Love Maze by The Temprees. I’m really into old school jams."

"My favourite karaoke song is...
Blondie’s Rapture has got to be the best karaoke song of all time because you get to rap. You have to do that rap because it’s fast."
