As Lindsay Lohan Gets In Trouble Again, We Chart The Highs And Lows Of Her Life

Just when we thought it was safe to call the all-clear on Li-Lo Watch, she’s back in the headlines. This time, the troubled actress is in hot water for allegedly scuffling with a man in a hotel room after he refused to give up his phone which contained some (probably naughty) photos of her. Ooops. It's the latest in a looooong list of scrapes the 26-year-old has found herself in but hey, it hasn't all been bad. Right? Let's chart the highs and lows of our Li-Lo...

High: Mean Girls

Tina Fey's film redefined the teen-movie genre and gave us Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan and Amanda Seyfried. Lindsay was brilliant as social guniea pig Cady Heron trying to fit into the world of girl.

Low: Lindsay is blasted for being ‘unprofessional’

James G. Robinson, a studio executive on teen film Georgia Rule, complained about Lindsay’s flaky behaviour on set in a letter stating, ‘We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your “exhaustion”.’ Eeks, last thing you want your boss to say!

Low: Car Crash, DUI and rehab

In January 2007 Lindsay entered rehab and successfully complete a 30-day stay. Sadly, May saw her pick up a DUI when she lost control of her car while drunk. She again entered rehab, but soon after failed a sobriety test. She served 84 minutes in jail, was sentenced to ten days community service and was ordered to attend an alcohol education programme; all in one eventful summer.

Low: I Know Who Killed Me

The horror flick saw Lindsay star as a stripper with a split personality (obvs) and opened to dismal reviews. It won Lindsay both first and second place in the in the worst actress category at the Golden Raspberries.

High-meets-Low: Fashion Ventures

Lindsay’s fashion line 6126 launched in 2008 and is now sold all over America and in some international stores. Her line with Estrella Arch for Emanuel Ungaro in 2009 however, was less successful. The New York Times reported onlookers at the show in Paris Fashion Week were 'aghast' at the heart-shaped pastiches covering the models' nipples. WWD called it ‘an embarrassment’. Awkward.

High: Dating Samantha Ronson

How cute were these two?! Mark Ronson’s big sis and Li-lo weren’t exactly a match made in heaven-very public barneys all over LA became commonplace-but they did keep us entertained!

Low: More Jail Time

After missing AA meetings and educational classes as per her court agreement, Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in jail then 90 days in rehab. She left jail after 23 days, and rehab after 14.

Low: Theft

After being charged with the theft of a necklace in 2011, Lindsay was sentence to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service. She was released early before being incarcerated again for violating her probation.

High OR Low? Playboy

Jan 2012 saw Li-Lo grace the front cover of Playboy dressed (or undressed) as Marylin Monroe. She looked fabulous-better than she’d looked in years-but was this female empowerment or another stumble on the way down? You choose.

Low: Dina Lohan does Dr. Phil

In a bizarre interview earlier this month, the American chat show host grilled a distressed Dina Lohan about Lindsay’s problems. Dina’s confusion and anger caused Li-Lo take to Twitter to blast Dr. Phil and defend her mom.

High? Liz and Dick

The pics from the set of Lindsay’s upcoming Lifetime film Liz and Dick which sees her play Elizabeth Taylor, look ah-mahh-zing. Fingers crossed means the beginning of the end of Li-Lo’s troubles.
