It's been emotional - and now, we're sad to admit, the parade through London yesterday signified the end of Summer 2012. The Olympics are officially... Over (sob). We're not quite ready to let go... So we decided to compile a parade gallery for your viewing pleasure. Take a peek, and let us know your favourite moments below!

She was the golden girl of the Olympics after winning gold in spectacular fashion for the heptathlon – and it was only right that she should lead the final parade for London 2012. ‘We’ve had so much support through the past few weeks, every session was filled with cheering British fans,’ Jess said yesterday. ‘So now to come out and see another huge crowd and thank everyone is going to be really special for all of us.’

Chris Hoy and Sarah Storey

They’ve got a whopping 17 gold medals between them - making Chris Hoy the most successful British Olympian of all time, and Sarah Storey the most decorated Paralympian ever. We think we can safely say, this pair didn't do half bad.

Tom Daley

Oh, Tom. How we wished we were jumping into that pool with you and that cheeky little grin as your bronze medal was announced. Also: the trunks. ‘Nuff said.

Ellie Simmonds

She amazed us all with her super-speedy race to gold no less than twice, as well as picking up a silver and bronze on her way. And we’ll never forget bursting into tears with her as she touched the edge of the pool to claim her world record, beating it by a huge five seconds. Huzzah for Ellie!

Zara Philips

Zara has taken home an addition to the Royal family jewels after picking up a silver medal in the Equestrian events. And it was presented to her by none other than Princess Anne, her mum!

Mo Farah

Do we really need to explain? If watching him cross the finish line for gold (twice) through teary eyes wasn’t enough, we even got the ‘Mo Farah Running Away From Things’ Tumblr to keep us entertained long after our grieving for the 2012 subsides. Legend.

David Weir

David Weir has not only been dubbed the best wheelchair racer of all time, he also won the coolest Olympics nickname of the Summer: Weir Wolf. And as if that wasn't enough, he melted our hearts when we spotted him celebrating with his son, Mason. Too. Cute.

Jonnie Peacock

He’s (deservedly) earned the title of the golden boy of the Paralympics after beating rival Oscar Pistorious in the 100m sprint. And he’s tipped to be Sports Personality of the Year. Quite rightly so, we say.

Rebecca Adlington

We just wanted to give Rebecca a big hug as she burst into tears on the podium after collecting her bronze medal. The amazing swimmer said afterwards that she might consider quitting swimming at 23, in favour of becoming a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing...

Hannah Cockroft

Hannah’s amazing sprints to gold in the wheelchair race were epic, and after picking up two gold medals, she said. ‘I just want to go back and do the Paralympics again!’ she said this week. Us too, Hannah, bring on 2016!
