2. Feast Up!

It’s a celebrity double whammy in Oxfordshire this weekend. Jamie Oliver’s Big Feastival is a food festival set on the farm of Blur bassist Alex James. There’ll be music by the likes of Paloma Faith and Noisettes, plus fun and games. Camping tickets are sold out, but you can still nab yourself day entry.

The 2012 Paralympics are set to be the most successful ever. Our pick of the sporting events this weekend include the Women’s 400m Freestyle Swimming (Saturday, heats at 10:06am, finals 17:54pm) – will Team GB’s Eleanor Simmonds take gold again? – and the Sunday night athletics (from 7pm).
