There is still over a year to go before ‘The Hunger Games’ sequel ‘Catching Fire’ hits our screens but if you’re a Team Katniss super-fan then the odds are ever in your favour as further additions to the cast have been announced.

Joining Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Banks et al on screen are a veritable team of Gamesmakers, Tributes, havoc-wreakers, trouble-makers and let’s not forget many a murderer. And as our leading duo have to get acquainted with these new faces, we thought we probably should to…

Sam Claflin as Finnick

Brit boy Sam recently starred alongside Kristen Stewart as William in Snow White and the Huntsman. Move over Peeta. Finnick is definitely the pin-up in part deux! Most likely to be seen naked or thereabouts and a dab hand with a Trident. *Swoon*

Amanda Plummer as Wiress

Pulp Fiction alumni and daughter of Oscar winner Christopher. Initially an untrustworthy type who wins over Katniss with her sharp mind. Most likely to be caught singing and muttering to herself incoherently.

Meta Golding as Enobaria

Haitian beauty Meta took up acting after an injury ended her career as an Italian National Figure Skater. Former Hunger Games victor known for ripping open a competitor’s throat with her teeth. Most likely to forget which film she’s in and unleash her Twilight tendencies.

Jenna Malone as Johanna Mason

It’s an axe-weilding Lydia Bennet all grown up – yikes! Known for her sly and cunning tactics and for having nothing to lose, she is most likely to surprise you when you least expect it.

Lynn Cohen as Mags

She’s a long way from Steve and Miranda and their Brooklyn abode in SATC but that doesn’t mean she’s given up playing the motherly type. Former victor  and mentor to Finnick, Mags is most likely to leave you weeping softly into your popcorn.
