Well, well, well look who’s suddenly grown up? The latest series of Glee promises to be the raciest and most elaborate yet, with Hollywood royalty Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson on the casting roll.
Former Sex and the City star SJP is known for her love of fashion, not just as Carrie Bradshaw but off-screen, too. So it’s only fitting that she should play Isabelle Klempt, a mentor to Chris Colfer's Kurt Hummel at US Vogue, when the McKinley High graduate makes his way to New York and interns there. She has signed up to appear in multiple episodes. Glee’s creator, Ryan Murphy tweeted the picture above of the twosome. Cute!
Now in it’s fourth series, the all singing-all dancing high school musical show has graduated. Kurt and Rachel Barry (played by Lea Michele) have moved to New York to pursue their performing dreams. Kurt winds up at Vogue.com whilst Rachel struggles at the fictional New York Academy of the Dramatic Arts, where she is tutored by another Hollywood starlet, How To Lose a Guy In 10 Days star, Kate Hudson.
Whilst Isabelle helps Rachel’s wardrobe go from high school preppy to sophisticated sex kitten (or something like that), Kate Hudson pushes her to the limit as her bitchy dance instructor Cassandra July.
In another Britney Spears tribute, as Rachel performs a sexy version of Oops I Did It Again, to prove to Cassandra she has what it takes to play with the big guns of Broadway. “I do have it in me to be sexy,” Rachel says in the scene. “Sexy enough to play Evita. And Roxie. And Charity.”
We’ll have to wait and see...
