Daniel Craig is back to his best on 26 October, as Secret Service Agent and impeccably-suited James Bond 007.
Skyfall is the 23rd film in the James Bond franchise – the longest running film-franchise of all-time we might add.
In the action-packed adventure, Bond’s loyalty to his MI6 boss M is jeopardised, as her past comes back to haunt her. As the British Secret Service comes under threat, 007 must do whatever it takes to protect it – at whatever personal cost is necessary.
In the classic Bond movies, M was traditionally played by men but, in the Daniel Craig films (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace), the role was cleverly handed to the superb Judi Dench.
Joining the cast are a host of stellar British names, including Helen McCory, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris, whilst French beauty Bérénice Marlohe is Sévérine, the obligatory sexy Bond Girl. Javier Bardem meanwhile, plays baddie Silva and taking is directing helm is the brilliant Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road).
In the new trailer, we see Bond being shot at by Eve (Naomi Harris) on the order of M, presumed dead but comes back with a bang. Literally. Silva asks Bond what his hobby is and he replies, in typical cocky fashion; ‘resurrection.’
There’s no sight of the Queen or her corgis, sadly, but we’re still terribly excited, Mr Bond.
Skyfall is released in the UK on 26 October
