Move Over Paloma Faith, Grazia Will Show You How The Torch Relay's Done!

You’ve watched it travel round the country – maybe even stood cheering in the rain as it was carried through your hometown. And this week, the Olympic Torch is hitting London for the final stretch before the Games. But before that, we have some very exciting news: Grazia is joining the Torch relay. Hurrah!

Lucy Dunn, our Associate Editor, and already champion runner (no, really – her dedication to running home from the office most days is mind-boggling) will be running with the torch at approx 2.55pm next Wednesday, two days before London 2012 officially begins.

She’ll be following in the footsteps of hundreds of others who have showcased the torch throughout Britain – including some famous faces like Jamie Oliver, Ellen McArthur, Mel C and Will.I.Am (though Lucy will be leaving the tweeting to us, we hope…).

Lucy will run a stretch of the London borough of Barnet, proudly carrying the infamous torch – and not only that, she’ll be doing it for a great cause. Lucy is running for SANDS charity, who provide support for parents who suffer stillbirths or neonatal deaths, a charity Grazia has actively supported for some time now.

She will be, of course, donning that famous baggy white tracksuit for her run. But will she be following in the style of singer Paloma Faith, who this weekend customized her uniform and donned seven inch red patent platforms for her run through Hackney? Hmmm, probably not very likely judging by the look Lucy's giving us right now across the desk…

Good luck, Lucy!
