Following in the footsteps of Madonna, Kylie Minogue and er, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry is finally releasing her concert film/3D documentary on Thursday which chronicles the starlet's life both on and off-stage. The film isn't only an account of K-Pez's year-long worldwide tour last year though, it also shows the break-up of her and Russell Brand's marriage.
The film sees the 'Firework' singer open up about their relationship, including, how they first met. 'When I first met Russell he really wanted to hang out with me and I was like no, no, no, no no, you got to take me to dinner and you’ve got to wine and dine me. On our first date we went to a really cute little restaurant in New York and just talked for like two and a half hours.'
Katy Perry is also very frank about her views on the divorce, and on motherhood, telling the camera, 'When I decide to become a mother I want to be a mother, but right now I don’t think it’s the right timing for me. A baby kid can’t have a baby and I’m still a baby' and admitting that she still is a hopeless romantic...
'I’ll tell you the truth, I’m a romantic and I kind of believed in this fairytale and in some ways I think that’s always been to my advantage because I feel like if you can believe in something great then you can achieve something great. I have that same belief system with everything, from career to my life, my personal life, everything and I will do everything it takes to not fail. And I did everything it took but it still failed. The bad that comes along with the good is a journey. And I learned so much from that journey.'
