Chuck Bass - Sorry, Ed Westwick - Makes His Catwalk Debut At Menswear Fashion Week

Remember when Gary Oldman, Adrien Brody, Jamie Bell, Emile Hirsch, Willem Defoe, Tim Roth AND Garrett Hedlund all walked the Prada AW 2012 show at Milan Men’s Fashion Week earlier this year? Now, it’s Gossip Girl’s Chuck Bass Ed Westwick who is making his runway debut this season at Swiss label, Philipp Plein’s SS 2013 collection. Is his modelling as good as his on-screen scheming? Watch the video below...

The 24-year-old sported a moustache (which has been met with divided opinions at Grazia HQ), slicked back hair and a pretty serious pout while sashaying down the catwalk wearing brown leather, black button-up shirts and a baby blue jacket. The English rock boy/actor is already the face of Philipp Plein’s AW 2012 campaign which was shot by famed celebrity photographer, Terry Richardson. Considering that he’s also set to star as Tybalt in Julian Fellowes’ upcoming version of Romeo and Juliet alongside Burberry model Douglas Booth and 15-year-old fashion darling, Hailee Steinfeld, we foresee his career spanning on even after Gossip Girl (sob) finishes.

Ed Westwick isn’t the only actor to make his catwalk debut this Fashion Week season, Sherlock’s Benedict Cumberbatch walked for tailor Spencer Hart in London last month, barefooted, carrying a tumbler of whisky and a cigar. The actor admitted that walking ‘was without doubt the most nervous I’ve ever been – it was terrifying’ and said he was channelling a ‘young Hugh Hefner’ with this look.

And, in case you missed it the first time round, check out the Prada show that quite possibly featured more celebrities than it did models. Scroll to 6:05 to see On The Road's Garrett Hedlund head the pack...
