Blake Lively for Chanel, Emma Watson for Burberry, January Jones for Versace… the fashwan industry has long played host to A-list actresses turning their perfectly manicured hands to modeling.
But American supermodel Niki Taylor has issued a passionate plea on behalf of her fellow models by calling for magazines to put them on their covers instead of film stars.
When the blonde beauty was asked recently what changes she would like to see in the world of fashion, the CoverGirl-star-turned-TV-presenter quipped: “Put models back on covers of magazines and in campaigns and let the movie stars do movies.”
Ouch! Harsh words indeed. But has the girl got a point? Can only models model?
Do you think film stars should stick to the movies and models to the runway? Do you yearn for the days when supermodels were supermodels and no one would dream of putting a WAG on the cover of a fashion magazine? Or would you like to see more screen starlets dabble in modeling?
As always, let us know your thoughts…
