In last week's Grazia we delved into the deceptive world of A-list (fake) Twitterati. If you didn’t read it we recommend searching for Cheryl Kerl, MRS Stephen Fry or Lindsayinjail (very funny).
Now there a new wave of fraudulent tweeters worth following, but this time it’s the X Factor hopefuls whose identities have been stolen.
Though ‘the real’ Katie Weasel never had us fooled (‘Wagner has set the fire alarm off while trying to cure Mary's arthritis. Combination of otter dung and anaconda blood doesn’t burn easily.’) we admit Storm Lee’s imposter convinced us. When he tweeted last night that he’d quit the show due to bullying we fell for it hook, line and sinker... Until the real red-headed rocker was forced to deny the rumour on the X Factor’s official twitter page.
Now we’re left wondering who’ll be next… In Grazia TV this week we showcased Cher’s impersonator (watch the episode below). Surely it’s only a matter of time before her mini-me hits the Twitterverse.
Obviously we're firm believers that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…
