Battle Of The Bodies! Kate Moss V Christina Hendricks!

Battle Of The Bodies! Kate Moss V Christina Hendricks!
We may have given Christina Hendricks Emmy gown the thumbs down, but she’s still, undoubtedly, our body-idol du jour. Those curves, that waist, need we go on… It’s no wonder Esquire named her the sexiest woman in America.

And it seems we’re not the only one with a bit of a girl crush. According to Cosmopolitan magazine women would rather look like Christina Hendricks then Kate Moss, with Editor Louise Court claiming "Joan [Harris, Hendricks' character] has had a huge impact on fashion and on women having the confidence to flaunt their curves. This year loads of girls want to look like Christina Hendricks, not Kate Moss."
Which is great news for mac merchants London Fog - who have recently cast Hendricks to star in their new campaign. Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone is also a fan, claiming the curvy actress sets a great body image example with her hourglass figure.

However Mad Men’s siren of a secretary says it’s not easy being curvy. Even now that she’s a cover star she struggles to dress her 39D-30-39 hourglass.

‘People have been saying some nice, wonderful things about me. Yet not one designer in town will loan me a dress,’ said Christina Hendricks, ‘They only lend out a size 0 or 2. So I'm still struggling for someone to give me a darn dress.
Indeed, when Christina wore a ruffled dress to the Golden Globes earlier this year New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn wrote, ‘You don’t put a big girl in a big dress.’

In light of this we salute Zac Posen, who dressed Christina for the Emmy’s. Okay, we may not have loved the matronly cut, but kudos for being brave enough to step out of the box.

Let’s hope other designers follow suit and fill Christina’s wardrobe pronto. We’re just praying she doesn’t do a Dahl and slim down before they have a chance.
But do you agree with the survey ? Would you rather look like Christina than Kate? And if so, why?e may have given Christina Hendricks Emmy gown the thumbs down, but she’s still, undoubtedly, our body-idol du jour.
