Boredom Buster: our get-away wishlist!

14 May 2010

As you may already know, last night was a big night out in Grazialand, so unsurprisingly we’re all feeling a little weary today.  With sore feet and even sorer heads, we can’t help but daydream about where we’d like to be nursing our hangovers this afternoon (shockingly the office didn’t make the top 5!).  So, in true Judith Chalmers style – here’s our top 5 luxurious get-aways where we’d like to be right now!

The Four Seasons Mahe, Seychelles
When you think of luxury you think of the Seychelles, and The Four Seasons, Seychelles doesn’t disappoint.  Tree-house villas, beautiful white sand, and 5* service – just the thought of it makes us feel better!

The One&Only, Cape Town
With the world cup about to hit South Africa might not be the best destination to head to for a relaxing break.  Having said that, if we were a WAG, we’d be booking ourselves into The One&Only fo-sho!  With oversized baths and rain showers we’re not sure we’d leave the bathroom though!

The Park Hyatt, Shanghai
Nothing cures a hangover quite like a swim.  Forget laps in the local lido though, The Park Hyatt, Shanghai’s Water’s Edge spa has a 20 meter infinity pool on the 85th floor; with full length windows overlooking the city it feels like you’re swimming through the clouds – serene!

Jungle Junction, Zambia
Proving you don’t need 5* luxury for total relaxation, the Jungle Junctions simplicity is what makes it so very special.  From sunset “cruises” down the Zambezi in dug outs, to making your own drinks in the honesty bar, it’s impossible to feel stressed out there.

The Langham, London
So it’s only down the road – that doesn’t make it any less desirable!  Elegant and sophisticated, she’s just been renovated, and feels like every little girls fairytale dream.  As we’re feeling a little tender today we’d treat ourselves to Afternoon tea in the Palm Court, which has been awarded the Tea Guild’s Top London Afternoon Tea 2010…CAB!!!
