This week we bring you the soundtrack of Paris fashion week. Now, we have to be honest, there was an awful lot of plinky plonky arty – but beautiful – stuff (not Youtube’s forte), so we’ve carefully sifted out some of our fave tunes of the week to share with you. So grab a café au lait and pain of chocolat and get into the Parisian groove!
Balmain and Prince – the perfect combination – how did we never think of this before??? Thankfully Balmain did, and the front row nodded their heads to these Prince classics: Let's go Crazy and Kiss
Christian Dior went all romantic with this Alicia Keys power ballad, No-one…. Je t’aime!
Lanvin got everyone dancing in their seats (well, as much as fashionista’s in Paris do) with the O'Jays soul classic, Love Train
For the following three songs we’ve taken inspiration from the Paris front rows.
Jared Leto was one of the more unlikely FROWers in Paris this week. He rocked up at both Dior + Lanvin, so we thought we’d rock out to 30 Seconds to Mars, The Kill
Corinne Bailey Ray was the more unusual UK representative at Louis Vuitton (no offense Pixie and Alexa). So sit back and relax to the mellow sounds of her new single I'd Do It All Again
Vanessa Paradis was lucky enough to be on the front row at Chanel – well, she is in their perfume ads, so we, in turn, thought we’d, well, humiliate her, by sharing with you this rather bizarre video of Vanessa singing a song about a Parisian taxi driver called Joe, Joe le Taxi.
