Mummy copy-cats: Right or Wrong?

11 February 2010

Now, here at Grazia Daily we like to think we’re a forward-thinking bunch, happy to take tips from ‘new kids on the block’ like Tavi. But this week, we’ve been pushed to out limit and have found ourselves uttering phrases like, ‘we’d never have worn that in our day…’

Of course it all started with Noah Cyrus’ fashion line (lace gloves, stockings, ‘when I grow up I want to be a burlesque star’ look).

Then new bride Katie Price (not a fan of the ‘natural’ look) gave her daughter, Princess Tiammii a makeover.

'It's a two-year-old girl with false eyelashes, full make-up for the whole world to see,’ said her father Peter Andre, 'To be honest I'm disgusted with it - I don't want to see that.'

And, even though we’re loathe to put Suri Cruise in the same camp as the Price clan, the ‘world's most fashionable toddler’ was spotted in New York yesterday, dining with her mum wearing ruby red lipstick.

Are we overreacting to a bunch of children just copying Mummy? Or is ‘how to apply eyeliner in a straight line’ not the lesson Mum’s should be prioritising?
