Victoria Beckham – a name synonymous with high fashion, glamour and killer high heels… ‘How does VB do it?’ we’ve asked on more then one occasion, massaging the throbbing balls of our feet after a night on the tiles, whilst flicking through the Sunday tabs where Victoria is pictured at a function / in the airport / at a theme park walking tall in 6 inch Louboutins – apparently immune to the side effects.
But every woman has her limits. And, it’s been revealed, VB’s dedication to skyscrapers is now catching up with her.
‘The Beckham household is all about feet at the moment,’ said a friend of the Beckhams, ‘David is having painkilling injections for bone bruising on his foot, while Victoria is in agony with her misshapen feet.’
It’s no secret VB has previously suffered with bunions. But apparently they are now so serious, doctors have advised that she needs surgery, to have them removed, ASAP.
But dedicated follower of fashion Posh has refused – because post-op she won’t be able to wear heels for two months.
Victoria, who’s previously said, ‘If you haven't got it. Fake it! Too short? Wear big high heels, but do practice walking,’ may have no choice, but to resort to flats. She has been papped in flipflops before (remember that visit to Disneyland and, umm, well, we’re sure there was another time) but she famously dislikes ballet pumps.
Still, she may soon have no choice because, after six years of ignoring the doctors advise, she’s been forced to reconsider her options.
‘The doctor has told her she seriously needs to consider a bunionectomy or ditch the heels for a few months to let the inflammation calm down,’ said her friend.
At GraziaDaily, as you know, no one is more dedicated to the fashion cause then us – but even we draw the line when it comes to our health. Shoe-aholics Sarah Jessica Parker, Cameron Diaz and even young-blood Miley Cyrus have all been treated for bunions in the past (SJP had to have her feet digitally enhanced in Failure to Launch).
Ok then, how about a compromise VB – kitten heels are back in fashion this season… Or, just for the sake of your health, love, slip on a pair of Uggs.
