Mary Portas One Life: Over To You

Mary Portas

Every week in Grazia, Mary Portas lends her ear to a reader and gives her savvy, no-nonsense take on the situation. Today, it's your turn to help out Grazia reader Sophie. Take a look at her letter below. Do you think her boss is being unfair? What would you do if you were in Sophie's shoes?

‘Am I being bullied by my boss?'
My boss is making my life a misery and the only way I can think of solving the problem is to leave my job. She's well known for playing favourites and it's obvious I'm not one of them because most of the time she ignores me. I can cope with that but find it really hard when she blames me for things that aren't my responsibility, or shouts at me in front of the whole office. In the past, I've been accused of being over-emotional when I've got upset about the situation. So now I'm focusing less on work in order to cope, which means I'm not performing properly and therefore playing into her hands. I don't know what to do.
Sophie, 34, London
