Mary Portas One Life: Over To You

Mary Portas

Every week in Grazia, Mary Portas lends her ear to a reader and gives her savvy, no-nonsense take on the situation. Today, it's your turn to help out Grazia reader Ella. Take a look at her letter below and let us know how you think Ella can start to move on...

‘Will I ever get over my boyfriend's death?'
Two years ago, my partner died unexpectedly and it feels as if the gaping hole he left will never heal. We'd been together for 20 years and I'd also lost my father eight months before my partner died. Since then, my daughter and I have moved into my parents' home, but taking over the mortgage has put financial pressures on me and, after starting a new job somewhere where people didn't know about my losses, I'm unhappy at work. I know I must be strong for my daughter but there are days when I wonder if I'll ever be happy again.
Ella, 39, Newcastle
