Michelle Obama pays Stevie Wonder the ultimate compliment, by wearing an emerald green dress by his wife, Kai Milla, as her husband presented the musician with the Library of Congress's Gershwin Prize (the US's highest honour for pop musicians). One of the classic design houses, with a colourful and beautiful history, is being brought back to live. Vionnet has been bought by former Valentino chairman, Marzotto and Marni's CEO Gianni Castiglioni, and the new creative director will be Rodolfo Paglialunga, who worked as one of Miuccia Prada's assistants for 12 years. Expect the first full collection to roll out in September 2009.
