Last night's TV: we heart The City!

Here's proof – if ever we needed it – that The Hills is the gift that keeps on giving. Not content with furnishing us with the gorgeous Lauren Conrad and the gloriously bile-filled Spencer Pratt, it has delivered a whole new series, The City, chronicling the adventures of Lauren's buddy Whitney Port as she moves to New York to work for Diane von Furstenberg. Judging by last night's opening episode (repeated Tuesday night at 7pm if you missed it!), The City is just the ticket for Sunday night – the perfect distraction from the office stress and the miserable weather of Monday morning. After all, it features a bunch of real New York socialites who are just as gorgeous, bitchy and impeccably dressed as their fictional counterparts on Gossip Girl. The leader of the pack, Olivia Palermo, is fast becoming Grazia's favourite style (and hair!) crush. And while Whitney isn't as feisty as LC, her innocence is rather endearing – and we're plenty entertained by her gorgeous new beau, Jay, and the stylish shenanigans at DVF. How about this too? While we were at home watching Whitney on the box last night, the lady herself was being as fabulous as ever, and was spotted hobnobbing with the stars backstage at the DVF show in New York filming the next series. Jealous, us?
