Yes, yes. We know you've read that headline before. But this time it really is true. The writer/director of Sex And The City: The Movie, Michael Patrick King, confirmed last night that SJP, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis have signed their contracts and he's about to sit down to write the script. Shooting will begin this summer with a release date sometime in summer 2010. Which means more than 12 months of plot-line speculation, fashion analysis and paparazzi plot-spoilers. So let's start now. Will Carrie and Big have a baby? (And where will they source the baby clothes from?) Will Harry and Charlotte's adopted child ever actually speak? Well, she will be at least seven by the time it's released. Will Stanford and Anthony finally get together? Please! And will Samantha manage to lose her LA weight gain? Oh – and that's without getting on to the fashion. No word yet whether Patricia Field has signed up for the sequel, but surely Carrie and co can't be kitted out by anyone else? Well, unless it's Dame Vivienne of course. She has got plans for the SATC sequel, remember. OK, we'll stop now. We could go on for hours. Instead, it's over to you... Are you excited about the sequel or worried they'll ruin the two-and-a-half-hour spectacle that was the original? And what do you want to see happen?
PS: Just to stoke the excitement a little more, here's a fashion flashback of the original trailer... Indulge yourselves.
