In what is the most exciting turn of events to happen to the literary world since Lauren Conrad announced her book deal (yes! The rumours are true!) Candace Bushnell has confirmed that she is writing a new Carrie Bradshaw instalment. But in a twist so cunning that not even we, who have dissected every possible SATC opportunity, could see it coming, this story will tell the tale of a teenage Carrie. Can you believe it? Pure genius on the part of Ms Bushnell, we say! The Grazia office is sizzling with speculation about who will play the teenage Carrie in the TV series that will obviously follow. We're thinking a sure-fire contender must be Taylor Momsen, aka Gossip Girl's Jenny Humphrey and fashion's new darling. She may have to perm up a bit, but the fashion credentials are there, as is the Carrie sass. It's almost too perfect to contemplate. The only bad news? The book's not out in the US until Autumn ‘09, but we have a feeling it will be well worth the wait. Bring on the teen angst...
