During almost a decade living at Downing Street Sarah Brown’s met everyone from Michelle Obama to Cheryl Cole and Margaret Thatcher. She’s supported her husband Gordon during his three years as prime minster as he oversaw a global financial crisis; brought up two children in an environment where weekends away were at Balmoral; and campaigned tirelessly for The White Ribbon Alliance – her charity that works to reduce maternal mortality around the world.
So we’re delighted that Sarah Brown will be our guest at the next Grazia Book Club in conjunction with Waterstone’s. To coincide with the launch of her diary Behind The Black Door (published by Ebury on 3 March 2011) Sarah will be interviewed by Emma Freud about her what it was really like living in the UK’s most famous address. You’ll get a chance to ask her your own questions too – and get her to sign a copy of her new book. Plus, as always there’ll be champagne, cupcakes and a goodie bag.
So join us at the Grazia Book Club with Waterstone’s on Thursday 31 March 2011 at 7pm in The Simpsons Room, Waterstone’s, 203-206 Piccadilly, London, W1J 9HD. Tickets cost £3, which is redeemable against purchase of the book on the night. Call 020 7851 2419 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for tickets. But hurry – there are limited numbers!
