Highlights of the night include: Leo AND Kate WINS IT (err, Winslet) coming away victorious, Eddie Redmayne announcing he is expecting a baby, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley confirming she is engaged and so much more...

AT LAST! Leonardo DiCaprio wins his Best Actor award (we had a feeling he might do it this year - here's proof) for The Revenant. He thoughtfully says he is sharing his award with the First Nation's people represented in the film.

Brie Larson wins Best Actress in a Drama for Room whilst wearing Calvin Klein - so beaut!

J-LAW wins again! Jennifer Lawrence wins Best Actress in a Comedy for Joy. What do we feel about this? JOY, naturally.

Taraji Henson wins Best Actress in a TV series for playing Cookie Lyon in Empire and shows her appreciation by dishing out... cookies...

Alejandro Gonzalez wins Best Director for The Revenant. He praises Leonardo DiCaprio in his speech.

More exciting news, Rosie Huntington-Whitley and Jason Statham are engaged. Finally! (p.s. what an exciting ceremony this has been... weddings, babies, what's next?!)

Golden Globes gold is Leonardo DiCaprio's reaction to Lady Gaga brushing past him to collect her award.

BREAKING NEWS! Gaga does it! Lady Gaga wins Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries wearing custom made Versace.

BREAKING NEWS! Earlier this evening Eddie Redmayne announced he is expecting a child with wife Hannah Bagshawe. Awwww!

Matt Damon wins for The Martian (Best Actor in Musical or Comedy).

Hearthrob John Hamm wins Best Actor in a TV Series for Mad Men. In his acceptance speech he thanks *Mad Men *writer Matthew Weiner for writing Don Draper, that 'horrible person'.

The Affair actress Maura Tierney wins Best Supporting TV Actress. We've loved her since her time on *ER. *We love her still.

'What an incredible year for women in film,' says Winslet in her acceptance speech. Too right!

BREAKING NEWS! Britain's Kate Winslet does it again for the fourth time, winning Best Supporting Actress for Steve Jobs. **

And the ceremony is underway... we'll keep you updated with all the red carpet looks and (of course) winners **as they're announced.

**War and Peace actress Lily James is all white on the night, as is Best Actress nominee Saoirse Ronan, in Saint Laurent Couture.

**Cate Blanchett - Best Actress nominee for Carol - opts for an unusual pink elaborate Givenchy Haute Couture gown by Riccardo Tisci. Lots of material, looks fab.

*Penny Dreadful *nominee Eva Green goes for gold too in a lacy Elie Saab. Classic and chic.

She's been nominated twice for The Danish Girl and Ex Machine but no matter whether she gets to the podium tonight, in her white Louis Vuitton dress, Alicia Vikander is already a winner.**

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has gone for a golden gown. For the Golden Globes. We see what she did there.

The winners envelops have arrived, as has Eva Longoria in a white gown with flower embroidery. Downton Abbey Best Actress nominee Joanne Froggatt has also arrived, wearing a strapless gown by Lebanese designer Reem Acra in lavendar.
