David Beckham Won’t Let Anyone Give Harper Beckham A Haircut

It's not just her love of football Harper Beckham has her dad to thank for - he's also the reason she has such long swooshy hair. Indeed, if there's one thing the four-year-old has a lot of other than fashion kudos beyond her years, it's hair. And David has admitted it's because he can't bear to let a hairdresser cut it.

He told Yahoo!: 'About a year ago, my wife said, "Maybe we should cut Harper’s hair." And I was like, "No! We need to grow it. Do. Not. Touch."'

'Since she was born, we haven’t cut it. That’s why it’s pretty much down to her knees.'

The interviewer then joked: 'You saved Harper's hair!' to which David replied: 'I had to. It's just so good, isn't it?'

David does have a point - despite her lack of regular trips to the salon, Harper Seven is already something of a hair icon in her own right - she's even rocked the 'hun'.

Despite being the son of a hairdresser mum, when it is time for Harper to have her first haircut, David won't be the one doing the cut. 'I do cut my sons’ hair from time to time. When they have a buzz cut, I do it,' he told Yahoo! 'If I have to use scissors, the boys know not to ask — [my mother] never taught me how to do that.'
